T&Y Ballet Studio is built on a rare foundation — real stage experience, academic training, and artistic integrity.
We are not a recreational studio. We are a place where serious ballet journeys begin.

WELCOME TO T&Y BALLET STUDIO — A PROFESSIONAL BALLET TRAINING ENVIRONMENT

T&Y Ballet Studio is built on a rare foundation of professional theatre experience, academic training, and artistic excellence. Founded by Sabina Yapparova, former First Soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre, and Konstantin Tkachuk, former artist of The National Ballet of Canada, Mariinsky Theatre, and Mikhailovsky Theatre, T&Y Ballet Studio offers a level of ballet education rarely found in traditional recreational dance programs. We believe that exceptional ballet training extends far beyond learning steps and choreography. Our mission is to develop strong technical foundations, musicality, artistry, discipline, confidence, and a deep appreciation for the art of ballet. Through a structured curriculum rooted in the traditions of classical ballet, students receive individualized attention and professional guidance in a supportive yet challenging environment. Whether students are taking their first ballet class or pursuing advanced pre-professional training, our goal is to help each dancer develop strong technique, artistic confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for ballet. Our students have achieved success at prestigious international competitions, including Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), ADC IBC, Global Dance Open (GDO), and Universal Ballet Competition (UBC). They have also received invitations, scholarships, and training opportunities from internationally respected institutions such as American Ballet Theatre, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, The Rock School for Dance Education, Russian Masters Ballet, The Harid Conservatory, Next Generation Ballet, John Cranko School programs, Youth America Grand Prix International Summer Intensive programs, and the Vaganova International Program. At T&Y Ballet Studio, we are not simply preparing students for performances and competitions. We are helping young dancers build the technical foundation, artistic maturity, professionalism, resilience, and confidence required for long-term success in ballet and beyond. A place where serious ballet journeys begin.

Our faculty brings decades of professional stage experience and a deep commitment to ballet education. Drawing from careers with internationally recognized ballet companies, we provide training that balances the traditions of classical ballet with the expectations of today’s professional dance world. Through individualized guidance, disciplined training, and artistic mentorship, we help students develop both as dancers and as individuals.

  • Our dancers regularly participate in major competitions across North America, performing in both Canada and the United States, and steadily building recognition within the international ballet community.

During the same season, our students were also recognised at Youth America Grand Prix Toronto, earning Top 24 placement in the Junior Division.
  • In the following season, the studio’s results continued to grow at Global Dance Open, where our students earned several top distinctions, including 1st Place in Ballet Repertoire (Boys), 1st Place in Contemporary Duet, and 1st Place in Ballet Pas de Deux, along with additional Second and Third Place awards across multiple divisions.
  • Most recently, our dancers were also recognised at Youth America Grand Prix Toronto 2026, earning 3rd Place in the Senior Age Division (Classical) as well as 3rd Place in Pas de Deux. Our students also achieved Top 24 placements in the Classical Pre-Competitive Division and Top 24 in the Junior Division at Youth America Grand Prix Philadelphia.
  • While we are proud of these milestones, we place even greater value on artistic depth, discipline, and the long-term development of every dancer.

Who Our Program Is Designed For

T&Y Ballet Studio is a professional ballet school , not a recreational dance space.
Our training is structured, disciplined, and rooted in classical ballet traditions.

Our program is designed for students and families who:
  • value commitment, consistency, and respect for the learning process
  • understand that progress requires time, effort, and discipline
  • are comfortable with clear structure, expectations, and artistic direction
  • support their child’s independence, resilience, and responsibility
  • trust professional guidance and long-term development over quick results
Our program may not be the right fit for families who are seeking:
  • flexible or entertainment-based activities
  • frequent exceptions, negotiations, or special arrangements
  • guaranteed roles, placements, or outcomes
  • short-term results without sustained commitment
We believe clarity creates a healthy environment — for students, families, and faculty alike.
